Sketchbook

Over the past few years I've tried to keep some form of sketchbook with all my developing ideas, notes, scribbles tests etc and anything else that I want to keep a record of. I was looking back over these images today and while I wasn't so keen on them when I first shot them I've really taken a liking to them now. (click images to enlarge)

This picture is part of an ongoing portrait project focusing on rollerbladers that I have met over the years and continue to meet on my travels. The medium is the same as that used by a fairly well-known artist to capture his subjects before turning the images into bold, colourful paintings.

Lebron James

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to be present at one of the More Than a Game tour stops in Crystal Palace. As part of the tour NBA MVP of 2009 Lebron James was giving short coaching sessions and was interviewed about his rise from high school talent to NBA star and what steps he has taken to ensure that he stays on top of his game. I managed to get a few snaps despite a very annoying and persistent papparazzi style photographer who felt the need to stand in front of anyone else taking a photo that day.
