104 Test

The battery for my latest polaroid purchase arrived today so I decided to test it out. I didn't have any human subjects available so I grabbed what I could see and made a little still life setup. Weird colour shifts as per usual which works pretty well, no shot is ever quite the same.

Happiness.....

..........happiness, the greatest thing that I possess. A few pictures I took after an interview I had a while back. I thought it'd gone really well but I didn't get the job so apparently it didn't go too well.

A few polaroids......

......from a weekend in Belgium/Eindhoven. The winterclash was supposed to take place in Belgium but after a suspicious fire was started and the park burnt down it was swiftly moved to Eindhoven. Unfortunately this meant that I didn't get to see much of Antwerp so I reckon a repeat trip is in order sometime in the future. I really need to get a new scanner, these don't look anything like the originals.

Polaroid jackpot

I've had a close relationship with Polaroid since my dad snapped a picture of a Lego ship I built for a competition when I was about 7 but only more recently have I really discovered how amazing a creation the polaroid cameras and images really are.

Today I received these in the post. I already have a One- Step close-up but its always good to add stuff to my collection. More excitingly was the very out of date 600 film that came with the pair which I'll probably run through my SX-70 and get some beautiful results.

The jackpot came when I stumbled into a junk shop in Brighton looking for classic ray ban's and came across this badboy. Its the one camera I needed to add to my collection allowing to hook up a sync lead and shoot proper flash lit images. Not only does it have some black and white film already inside but the complete instructions, the dated imagery is great.

I couldn't finish without mentioning that a group of daring and genius minds have gotten together to try and revive the production of polaroid film for 2010. Check out the project here.

Luke warm off the press

Oli pointed out to me today that the picture I shot of him over Christmas was Picture of the week on the Valo website a couple of weeks ago, and here's me thinking it was just wasting away in Jon's inbox.

My camera has ..........

........ a mind of its own. Thankfully these worked out well in the end

Metropolitan Peace

A random purchase on Carnaby Street while passing time before a meeting. No idea where I'll put it yet but I'm sure I'll give it a good home, maybe on a hat?
